What binds you separates you
I spent some time working in Saudi Arabia. Apart from the obvious differences, what initially struck me is the number of similarities between the part of Arabia I was in, and the US, who is still the biggest consumer of that all that expensive black stuff.
Being English, it was quite a culture shock all round.
I had to travel quite some way, literally and figuratively, before I could discover a little taste of the real Arabia. More of this another time, but my first impressions were, well...see for yourself.
